Who's playing? Mexico and Honduras close the Quarter final matches with a tight duel. Los Catrachos are used to leave it all on the pitch when facing El Tri, and this time, with the Mexicans showing a shaky form, victory could be as sweet as ever for the Central American side. On the other side, Mexico will try to take advantage of the disappointing form shown by Honduras' NT, after they reached the KO stage without scoring any goals.

  • The last time these teams met took place just one month ago, with Mexico taking home the win with a 3-0 score line

Preview

Mexico and Honduras get to this game with a lot to prove. On one side, Mexico's team hasn't been as scintillating as expected, and despite their positive record, their performance has most fans and experts worrying about their future. This will be the third KO stage match for Mexico under coach Juan Carlos Osorio, and one more defeat could mean trouble for the Colombian tactician, since there are club presidents that are already considering to sack him.

On the other side, Honduras added some talents up front to help end their goal scoring drought. Jorge Luis Pinto's side made it to the KO stage without scoring a goal, and the Colombian-born coach seems more interested in unveiling conspiracies to benefit Mexico than coaching his own side. Winning a match due to French Guiana's breach of the tournament rules and stealing a point away from Canada isn't something to brag about, but eliminating Mexico from this tournament will give Pinto the credit he needs to keep his work as Los Catrachos' boss.
