The Frenchman is fighting to retain Alexis and Ozil, but is also eyeing additions.

After signing a two-year deal, reports emerged that Arsene Wenger promised to walk away from the club should he fail to deliver the title next season. Regardless of whether it’s true or not, the Frenchman has underlined three transfer targets to improve the squad for next season.

According John Cross of the Mirror, Kylian Mbappe is one of Le Prof’s main targets. The teenage sensation burst onto the scene after a sensational season with Monaco, but interest in the forward is crazy and the Gunners need a miracle to beat the competition.

Real Madrid are favorites to land the 18-year-old, but this has not deterred Wenger’s interest. Mbappe, however, isn’t the only Monaco ace on Wenger’s radar.

The long-serving manager is also targeting Thomas Lemar, the influential winger who helped the French side to the Ligue 1 title. At 21, he is young and exciting enough to make Wenger turn his back on Riyad Mahrez.

Lastly, Arsene is plotting a move for Alexandre Lacazette. The Lyon forward has long been linked with an Emirates Stadium move due to his proven goalscoring record.

Internal affairs are also a priority to Wenger, as he looks to ship out a few players and retain two. The FA Cup holders are working hard to tie down Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to new contracts.

Both the Chilean and German aces are entering the final year of their Arsenal deals. Thus, the former Bara ace has been offered in excess of £275,000-a-week, with the World Cup winner being offered £280,000-a-week.

The likes of Kieran Gibbs, Mathieu Debuchy, and Carl Jenkinson are set to leave.
