The Brazilian left back referred to the transfer rumors surrounding the Portuguese striker and his possible replacement.

Cristiano Ronaldo's attitude following the end of the 2017-18 UEFA Champions League final keeps making waves, and this time, one of his closest friends inside Real Madrid's locker room shared some unflattering words about the striker.

Brazilian left back Marcelo downplayed CR7's relevance inside the team's locker room, and even if most of his team-mates want him to keep on playing for the Spanish capital giants, he has to understand that he can't believe to be taller than the team itself.

"Cristiano is not Real Madrid's owner. If our president wants to sign someone, he will. But saying that Neymar can't play for Real Madrid because Cristiano is there? As far as I'm concerned, Neymar would be more than welcome at Real Madrid," Marcelo stated.

Maybe trying to soften his earlier statements, the Brazilian footballer urged CR7 to stop pushing for a transfer away from Los Blancos.

"Everyone in the locker room wants him to stay. He's the best player right now," Marcelo added.

The Brazilian left back analyzed Neymar's possible arrival to the Bernabeu, predicting that maybe sooner than expected, he will end up playing for Real Madrid.

"I believe that the best players in the world have to play for Real Madrid, and I've said two or three years ago that I see Neymar joining the team eventually. Neymar has a bright future ahead of him, and surely he will end up reaching Cristiano's accomplishments," Marcelo concluded.
