On Saturday, Pep Guardiola was asked a question on one of the hottest transfer rumors regarding his Man City side: their interest in Alexis Sanchez. The Spaniard is an admirer of the Chilean and was rumored to be after the attacker last summer.
With the Arsenal ace’s current deal with the Gunners due to expire at the end of this season, he is all but certain to go. Wenger’s side is failing to compete for silverware once more and could thus fuel Sanchez’s desire to join the Citizens.
As a result, Pep was asked by one reporter whether he would return back for Alexis in January. Guardiola, although laughing, was put on the spot and thus gave a cagey response.

Although Sanchez might be on his radar, Guardiola’s urgent worry is their upcoming clash with Tottenham. City hosts Spurs at the Etihad on Saturday with the aim of keeping their record-breaking winning run going.
