The Swiss Super League, also known as the Axpo Super League, is the top football league in Switzerland. It was created in 1897, and it consists of 10 teams playing with a promotion/relegation system. Top teams are guaranteed place in various European competitions, whereas low teams face relegation into the Challenge League.
