Swedish Allsvenskan

The Sweden Allsvenskan is Sweden's top football league. It was founded in 1924 and it currently consists of 16 teams. During the Allsvenskan season, which usually starts in March and ends in October due to the cold winters. At the end of every season, the bottom two teams in the final standings are relegated into the Superettan, and the third lowest team enters a play-off against the 3rd team in Superettan. However, the league leader automatically enters the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, and the second placed team enters the UEFA Cup?s first qualifying round. Malmö FF are the most successful Swedish Football Club with 18 titles.
