About England - Conference National

The Blue Square Premier League is the England Conference National league; it is the fifth and lowest of the five nationwide football divisions in England. The competition was first created in 1979, but renamed in the 2007-08 to Blue Square from a sponsorship deal. Clubs participating in the Blue Square Premier League are able to take part in the English FA Cup. Promotion from the Blue Square League is to the League Two. Relegation takes the English football clubs to Conference North and Conference South. There are 24 football clubs that participate in the English Conference National League.
