Chilean Primera Division

The Chile Primera Division is Chile's top professional football league and ranked 14th in the world according to IFFHS. There are 18 football clubs playing in the Chile Primera División playing a total of 34 football matches. The Primera division is overseen by the Federacion de Futbol de Chile. It is similar to most South American leagues where the league season is separated by 2 halves; the Chilean Apertura which runs from Late January / Early February until the end of June, and the Chilean Clausura which runs from mid July until mid December.
