INTERLIGA January 2006
In January, eight Mexican soccer teams battle it out for two slots in the Copa
Toyota Libertadores which is played in various stadiums throughout the U.S.
The second and third place teams play the two final games at home in Mexico
for the final spot.
TORNE0 DE VERANO January 2006
Torneo de Verano - Argentina’s summer soccer league games - is televised
on an exclusive basis. Argentina’s most prestigious teams from the previous
season compete over a two-month period. Torneo de Verano is known for its heated
competition as teams begin vying for early bragging rights leading into the
regular season.
COPA TOYOTA LIBERTADORES February to May, July to August 2006
Copa Toyota Libertadores is the official event of the South American soccer
confederation and is recognized for its prestige and tradition. As the most
important club championship tournament in Latin America, thirty-six (36)
teams from eleven (11) countries compete over a five (5) month period for
this coveted trophy.
CONCACAF COPA DE CAMPEONES March to May 2006
The CONCACAF Champions' Cup (Copa de Campeones) is the annual international
football competition in which soccer clubs from North America and the Caribbean
participate. The competition is open to the leading domestic club teams in
the region. In the 2004 tournament, eight teams competed; two (2) from Mexico,
two (2) from the United States, two from Costa Rica, one from the remainder
of Central America, and one (1) from the Caribbean. LD Alajuelense of Costa
Rica won the competition. The runner-up from this year’s tournament
will automatically qualify to the Copa Sudamericana. Two (2) additional teams
from within the CONCACAF region will also be invited to the Copa Sudamericana.
COPA NISSAN SUDAMERICANA August to December 2006
This tournament, consisting of 64 total games, brings together twenty-four
(24) clubs from the ten (10) Latin America countries as well as Mexico and
the US in a home-and-away knockout format.
RECOPA August 2006
Currently, this Latin American club competition features the champion of the
2005 Copa Toyota Libertadores (Sao Paulo FC of Brazil) and the champion of
the 2005 Copa Nissan Sudamericana (Boca Jrs. of Argentina).
FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP December 2006
Previously known as the Toyota Cup, the FIFA Club World Championship TOYOTA
Cup will be played annually amongst the six confederations that comprise
FIFA. Among this year’s participants are the champions of the 2006
Asian Football Confederation (AFC); 2006 Confédération Africaine
de Football (CAF) Champions League; CONCACAF 2006 Champions’ Cup; CONMEBOL
2006 Copa Toyota Libertadores; OFC 2006 Club Championship; and the UEFA 2006
Champions League.

PREMIOS FOX SPORTS
The annual awards recognize the achievements of U.S. Hispanic and Latin American
sportsmen, sportswomen and teams from the sports of soccer, baseball, basketball,
boxing, motor sports, tennis and more. Premios Fox Sports also seeks to generate
greater public awareness of the achievements and diverse contributions made
by Hispanic athletes throughout the Americas. The awards show is the first
of its type to celebrate the excellence of Hispanic athletes, honoring both
their athletic achievements and contributions to their sport and communities.
DIARIO FOX SPORTS
The nightly edition runs down the latest happenings from sporting events around
the world. Coverage includes Latin American and European soccer, the NFL,
baseball, motor sports, tennis, and beyond.
FOX SPORTS NOTICIAS
Fox Sports Noticias sets the standard for daily global sports news in Spanish
bringing in-depth sports reporting that targets the diverse interests of
U.S. Hispanic sports fans. Fox Sports Noticias covers sporting events focusing
on Latin America and other important international news of the day.
JORGE RAMOS ¡EN VIVO!
Renown sports journalist and commentator Jorge Ramos hosts this live one-hour
program that airs each Monday at 10pm ET. The program will include call-ins,
guests, and live e-mails. The show focuses on reviewing the weekend's games
and previewing upcoming matches, particularly Mexican games.
PALABRA DEL DEPORTE
Hosted by Pablo Carrillo and Claudia Aranalde, this program attempts to go
beyond the standard interview by reaching out for different points of view
and getting into the minds of the biggest names in sports. Airing live nightly
Monday through Friday, this show spotlights both active and retired athletes
and sports experts from around Latin America.
MINUTO CERO
A live one-hour program previews El Clasico del Domingo from Argentina where
it is transmitted directly from the stadium. Hosted by world-class coach
Dr. Carlos Bilardo, Argentina’s top sports journalist Marcelo Araujo
and the controversial Fernando Niembro. Every Sunday prior to El Clasico
del Domingo.
A PRIMERA VISTA
Fox Sports Latin American presents a program that shines a spotlight on a unique
perspective in the world of Mexican Soccer; that of the referee. Dive into
the world of the men in black, see them discuss the rules, how they train
and ultimately see them defend or disagree about their own calls. The program
is hosted by well-known sports personality Santiago Puente.
FOX GOL MEXICO
Hosted by Ruben Espejel y Santiago Puente, this one-hour program features goals,
highlights, news, and general analysis and debate from each week of the Mexican
Soccer League.
FOX GOL HONDURAS
Hosted by Juan Carlos Pineda and Mauricio Kawas, this one-hour weekly highlight
review show, dedicated to the Honduran League, features interviews and replays
of goals.
TUZOCCER: EL MUNDO DE PACHUCA
A weekly magazine program featuring content from the Pachuca Fútbol
Club, it includes exclusive interviews with players and coaches, updates on
the club’s position in the Mexican soccer league, features on upcoming
matches and highlights from previous matches as well as features on the Pachuca
Fútbol University.
EXPEDIENTE FUTBOL
An essential for soccer fans, this half-hour program chooses one team and gives
a detailed history of the clubs achievements and star players. The show is
focused primarily on Argentine teams, but will expand its coverage to clubs
from around the world.
LA HISTORIA DE LOS MUNDIALES
“La Historia de los Mundiales” relives soccers most memorable moments,
matches and players. The series chronicles the history of every FIFA World Cup,
with exclusive footage dating back to the 1930’s.

Each program will feature an in-depth look at the host stadiums, cities, food,
people and culture of Germany as they get ready to host the biggest sporting

Copa Toyota Libertadores
Three (3) of the network’s exclusive telecasts of the Copa Toyota Libertadores
in first quarter of 2005 averaged a household coverage area rating of 6.0,
not only ranking among the top-ten Spanish-language cable programs overall,
but also reigning supreme among all Spanish-language sports network programming,
according to Nielsen Media Research.
The second-round Copa Toyota Libertadores match in which Pachuca of Mexico
beat Sporting Cristal of Peru delivered a solid 3.24 coverage area rating among
Hispanic men 18-49, and cracked Fox Sports en Español’s Top 25
programs of all time (among men 18-49) at number 25.
Completing the trifecta of ratings triumphs for Fox Sports en Español
over two nights, the May 5th Copa Toyota Libertadores match featuring legendary
Mexican Club Chivas of Guadalajara and Chile’s Cobreloa netted an exceptional
5.15 coverage area rating among men 18-49, as well as a solid 3.78 coverage
area rating among adults 18-49.
Fox Sports en Español’s Copa Toyota Libertadores 2005 ratings
successes come on the heels of its live telecast of the InterLiga competition.
The 14-game tournament featured eight (8) Mexican clubs competing for the chance
to win two (2) automatic berths to the prestigious Copa Toyota Libertadores.
The final game, featuring Las Chivas vs. Jaguares, delivered a household coverage
area rating of 6.7, representing a seventh place rank in national audience
percentage delivery for the week of January 10-16 of 2005.
Copa Nissan Sudamericana
Bolstered by the first-ever appearance of CONCACAF member teams from Mexico
in the prestigious tournament, the recently concluded 2005 edition of Copa
Nissan Sudamericana netted Fox Sports en Español huge ratings gains
over the previous year. According to Nielsen Media Research, combined CY’05
Hispanic household (HH) coverage area ratings for the four rounds of live
soccer action increased by an average of 533% over CY’O4.
In particular, several key matches made a significant difference while helping
to consolidate Fox Sports en Español’s rankings among the 2005’s
highest rated and most-watched sports programs in all of Spanish-language cable.
The October 5th quarterfinal match between Atletico Nacional (Colombia) and
Club America (Mexico) posted a HH delivery of 375,000, as well as delivered
344,000 M18-49, ranking it the 7th highest-rated sports program in all of Spanish-language
cable in 2005; the November 30th semifinal match between Pumas (Mexico) and
Velez (Argentina) delivered 325,000 M18-49 and 442,000 Adults 18-49, ranking
it 9th and 8th place, respectively, among the year’s highest-rated sports
programs in Spanish-language cable; the December 18th final featuring Pumas
(Mexico) vs. Boca Juniors (Argentina) delivered 363,000 HH, 455,000 M18-49,
and 539,000 Adults18-49, catapulting it to 8th, 3rd and 4th place finishes,
respectively, among all sports programs in Spanish-language cable in 2005.
Among M18-49, the Copa Nissan Sudamericana delivered three (3) of the ten
(10) most-watched sports programs in all of Spanish-language cable in 2005.
Coupled with three (3) top-ten finishes for telecasts of the Copa Toyota Libertadores
and one (1) for Diario Fox Sports, Fox Sports en Español posted seven
(7) of the ten (10) most viewed sports programs on Spanish-language cable in
2005.
Similarly, among Adults 18-49, Copa Nissan Sudamericana netted the network
three (3) of the ten (10) most-watched sports programs in Spanish-language
cable in 2005. Combined with two (2) additional top ten (10) finishes for Copa
Toyota Libertadores and one (1) for Diario Fox Sports, Fox Sports en Español
holds six (6) of the ten (10) spots among 2005 most-watched sports programs
in Spanish-language cable among Adults 18-49.
