CBC's Societe Radio-Canada has acquired the French language rights for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Canada. In addition, Societe Radio-Canada has also acquired the french language rights for mobile, broadband, radio and tv in a similar deal to the english language rights of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Canada.
The broadcaster will show the World Cup final and the third-place playoff in 3D thanks to carriage deals with Rogers, Cogeco, Shaw and Telus, the Canadian cable and telecommunications operators.
