BBC One Scotland is the Scottish equivalent of BBC One.
The station also has its own team of continuity announcers, providing the channel with an added Scottish identity. The announcers, based in Glasgow, also double up as transmission directors.
BBC One Scotland covers major Scottish sporting events such as football internationals, the Scottish Cup, Scotland's Six Nations rugby union campaigns, and the performance of Scottish competitors at the Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games.
UK public-service broadcaster the BBC secured the rights for the English FA Cup through a joint bid with pay-television broadcaster BT Sport. The BBC, which will be offering live FA Cup coverage across all platforms (television, online, mobile and tablet), will share the rights with BT from the 2014-15 season till the end of the 2017-18 season.
The BBC and BT Sport have acquired live rights to the FA Community Shield in a joint bid. This will enable them to broadcast the special clashes between the Premier League winners and the FA Cup winners from 2014 to 2018.
