UEFA Cup on GolTV

GOLTV TO TELECAST EXCLUSIVE LIVE COVERAGE OF FINAL DAYS OF
2008-09 UEFA CUP GROUP MATCHES

Only GolTV Will Deliver Live Coverage of Italy’s AC Milan vs. Germany’s VfL Wolfsburg and Spain’s Racing Santander vs. England’s Manchester City

MIAMI – Dec. 10, 2008 – GolTV, the only live bilingual channel delivering 24/7 soccer, will telecast live coverage of the two final days of 2008-09 UEFA Cup group matches.  First, GolTV will deliver AC Milan vs. Germany’s VfL Wolfsburg live from Italy on Dec. 17 at 2:45 p.m. EST.  Then off to Spain, with live coverage as Racing Santander takes on England’s Manchester City on Dec. 18 at 2:45 p.m. EST.
Currently, VfL Wolfsburg leads AC Milan in Group E by only one point, but the winner of their head-to-head match on Dec. 17 will take first place and earn a better draw heading into the final stage of UEFA Cup play.  This match will deliver the action of some Europe’s best players as VfL Wolfsburg is home to three UEFA Cup standouts, Edin Džeko, Grafite and Zvjezdan Misimovic.  AC Milan also features a power-packed team with players like Ronaldinho, Kaká and Paolo Maldini.

For Group A action on Dec. 18, Manchester City will be fighting to hang onto its current first place position, while Racing Santander, in fourth place, desperately needs a win to qualify for the knockout stage of the UEFA Cup.  The draw for the final phase of 2008-09 UEFA Cup play will take place following the close of group play on Dec. 19.

GolTV adds these exciting UEFA Cup matches to its roster of 2008-09 world-class soccer coverage, including the 2010 World Cup qualifying matches of the national teams from Italy, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Lichtenstein, Scotland and Wales.

Among this week’s highlights include:

  • Two pairs of LIVE Spanish La Liga matches starting Saturday, December 6 at 2 p.m. ET as Villarreal takes on Getafe, followed by Barcelona vs. Valencia at 4 p.m. ET. On Sunday, December 7 Real Betis vs. Espanyol at 1 p.m. ET followed by Real Madrid vs. Sevilla at 3 p.m. ET.
  • A pair of LIVE Colombian League Matches featuring America vs. Junior on Saturday, December 6 at 6:20 p.m. ET, and on Sunday, December 7 Tolima vs. Nacional at 5:30 p.m. ET.
  • A German Bundesliga match featuring Schalke 04 vs. Hertha Berlin on Saturday, December 6 at 11:30 a.m. ET.

All-Soccer Network Inks Deal to Exclusively Telecast Home Qualifying Matches for
