Women’s World Cup schedule - UK

Fixtures for the 2007 Women’s World Cup in China, September 10 - 30, 2007.

BBC Sport will have comprehensive coverage of the Women’s World Cup, with all England’s games live on BBC TWO and the coverage streamed live on the BBC Sport website, and commentaries on Radio 5live.

Selected group games will also be broadcast live on BBCi and the BBC Sport website, with a daily highlights programme on BBC TWO at 2350 BST and on-demand on the website. BBC TWO’s team includes Gabby Logan, Gavin Peacock and England’s all-time record goalscorer Karen Walker in the studio, with Jacqui Oatley and Jake Humphrey in China.

USA 2 - Brazil 4 (International friendly, September 9, 2007) Bocanegra put the Americans ahead off a Landon Donovan corner kick, but Brazil tied it with an own-goal off defender Onyewu following a shot by Kaka. Brazil went ahead when Lucio headed Ronaldinho’s corner. Dempsey then tied the score for the before Ronaldinho scored a free-kick two minutes later, easily beating goalkeeper Howard. Elano converted a penalty in injury time after Michael Bradley pulled down Julio Baptista.

Mexico 1 - Panama 0 (International friendly, September 9, 2007) The game was called off at half-time after a torrential downpour left the pitch waterlogged. Mexico, with Barcelona forward Giovani Dos Santos making his international debut, were leading after defender Felipe Baloy put through his own goal in the 33rd minute.

England 3 - Israel 0 (Euro 2008 qualifier, September 8, 2008) England looked composed and in control in the first-half (highlights here), but only managed to net one goal when Joe Cole picked out SWP (offside?), and his volley gave Aoute no chance. The Three Lions pushed on in the second-half (highlights here) to produce some of their best football in years. Michael Owen collected the ball, spun and rifled it into the goal for the second, before Micah Richards capped an outstanding performance heading in the the third from a corner.

Two minutes into the second-half Zat Knight on his debut (days after being questioned by police) gave Villa the lead. John Terry went close from a header ten minutes later. With minutes remaining Agbonlahor diverted in a cross (or was it a shot?) after great work from Ashley Young.
