3A TELESUD TO AIR AFRICN YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP

3A TELESUD, THE PAN-AFRICAN AND AFRO-EUROPEAN TELEVISION NETWORK IS BRINGING YOU THE 2007 African Youth Championship LIVE IN AFRICA ON CANAL SATELLITE AND MMDS AFRICAN PROVIDERS.

The African Youth Championship is the main international football competition for CAF nations, played by under 20 years old players.
The U20 African Championship is held every two years, and the top 4 teams will go on to represent Africa at the 2007 FIFA World Youth Cup in Canada (the largest FIFA event ever hosted by Canada).
The list of competitors in the event that will take place from 20 January to 4 February in Congo was just finalized with:
Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cote d‚Ivoire, Egypt, the Gambia, Nigeria and Zambia joining Host country Congo in the eight-team tournament. (Read full article…)

Los Angeles, CA – December 28, 2006 – Fox Soccer Channel today announced it will telecast a live two-hour show from the annual National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention on Thursday, January 11. Airing from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (ET), the show titled “Center Circle at the NSCAA Convention” will focus on the future of U.S. soccer and will feature Major League Soccer (MLS) Commissioner Don Garber. Max Bretos will host the two-hour live program that will also feature guest panelists Christopher Sullivan, Christian Miles, and Fox Sports World Report’s Bobby McMahon; as well as Michelle Lissel, formerly of Fox Sports World Report and now with the newest MLS franchise, Toronto FC. A win for Newcastle would give the Magpies their fourth consecutive home victory and could vault them into the top half of the table. Globo TV Sports celebrates good news at SoccerEx 2006

Globo TV Sports has extended its deal with Al Dowaly Center CO of Kuwait to broadcast Brazilian Magic Football in 2008. The Middle Eastern distributor had already taken the package for 2007 but, betting on the success of Brazilian football, acquired the rights for an additional year. The agreement was signed at SoccerEx in Dubai.

Brazilian Magic Football is a package of 82 live matches in the São Paulo and Brazilian championships and is already airing in more than 125 countries. In addition to the matches, Al Dowaly Center CO also agreed to purchase FootBrazil, a weekly 26-minute program broadcast in English via satellite. FootBrazil provides special behind-the-scenes features on the championships and training, plus profiles and exclusive interviews with players and coaches.

The agreement provides for the airing of matches throughout much of the Middle East, including Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia, among other countries.

TELECAST RIGHTS TO UEFA CUP AND UEFA SUPER CUP THROUGH 2009

Exclusive Spanish-Language Coverage to be Provided by Fox Sports en Español

Los Angeles, CA – Monday, November 11, 2006 – Fox Soccer Channel today announced it has renewed live and exclusive English-language telecast rights to the deciding rounds of the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup through the 2008/2009 season. Live and exclusive Spanish-language coverage will be provided by sister network Fox Sports en Español.

The networks’ exclusive UEFA Cup coverage will include six quarterfinal matches, with the home and away legs taking place on Thursday, April 5 and Thursday, April 12, respectively; four semifinal matches (home leg: April 26, away leg: May 3); and the UEFA Cup Final on Wednesday, May 16 from Glasgow, Scotland. The UEFA Super Cup, taking place at Monaco ’s Stade Louis II, will air on Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports en Español in August of 2007. TSN and RDS Acquire Broadcast and Multimedia Rights to UEFA European Football Championship TM 2008

Toronto, ON (December 11, 2006) - TSN and RDS today announced a broadcast and multimedia agreement for the UEFA European Football ChampionshipTM 2008 - the most prestigious continental soccer championship, taking place June 7 to 29, 2008 from Austria-Switzerland. The deal provides TSN and RDS with exclusive Canadian broadcast rights in English and French, as well as new media rights including broadband, video on mobile devices, video-on-demand and interactive TV.

Under the deal, TSN and RDS will provide multi-platform coverage of all 31 matches of the quadrennial tournament, which features the Top 16 European national soccer teams, including the final on June 29. Additional coverage includes a highlights show on match day, EURO 2008 Final Draw, magazine programs, and unlimited encores across both networks and media platforms.
