In their opening Group G match for the Euro 2008 Qualifiers, Romania host Bulgaria . The Bulgarians have made some last minute changes to the roster as Aleksandar Tunchev replaces injured CSKA Sofia teammate Valentin Iliev. After impressive displays in the U-21 squad, Juventus striker Valeri Bozhinov and Hannover 96 midfielder Chavdar Yankov have also been called up.
16:00 - 18:00 ET– Euro 2008 Qualifiers: Hungary v Norway
In the first match of their respective Group C campaigns, Hungary clashes with Norway . The Hungarians have not made any changes to the lineup that saw them defeat Austria in a recent friendly. The Norwegians are hoping that Liverpool left-back John Arne Riise will be match fit. He sustained an ankle injury in Liverpool’s season opener against Sheffield United.
21:00 - 23:00 ET– MLS Soccer: Real Salt Lake v Colorado ***LIVE***
With the season beginning to wind down, Colorado and Real Salt Lake are tied for 4th in the Western Conference, although the Rapids have a match in hand. Real are coming off a 1-nil victory over the LA Galaxy and are hoping to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in the club’s history. Colorado on the other hand are hoping to turn things around and hold on to their fourth-place spot after falling 2-nil to FC Dallas..

Undefeated Boca Juniors look to continue an amazing run of form and add to their undefeated record this season. With Boca’s coach, Alfio Basile, tapped to take over the Argentine National Team, Ricardo La Volpe has been named to the club’s top job. Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky, who joined the Gunners over the summer, has been given the captain’s armband for the Czech Republic . Rosicky, 25, becomes the youngest player to lead the Czechs. Slovakia are fielding only 3 home-based players in their Euro squad. The rest of the players will be drawn from outside the Slovakian Superliga.
