Setanta to broadcast Russian league in US
Pay-television broadcaster Setanta Sports will begin showing Russian Premier League football in the United States and Canada this March.
Setanta viewers in the two territories will be able to watch 60 live and delayed league matches this season, beginning on the weekend of March 13.
“We are very proud to include the Russian Premier League in our sports line-up,” said Shane O’Rourke, president of North American and Australian Operations. “With a list of leading teams, top players and a season that runs from March to November, we can provide our viewers with world-class programming all throughout the year.”
Setanta’s other football properties in North America include the Barclays Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Cup, 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, the Scottish Premier League, and the French Le Championnat.
