MLS SATURDAY ON FSC RETURNS MARCH 29 WITH NETWORK’S

FIRST-EVER REGULAR-SEASON DOUBLEHEADER

Two-Time Defending League Champions Houston Dynamo

Host New England in MLS Cup rematch at 7:30 p.m. ET; Colorado Rapids take on Los Angeles Galaxy at 9:30 p.m. ET

Los Angeles, CAJanuary 17, 2008 – Two-time defending Major League Soccer (MLS) Cup champions Houston Dynamo will begin their bid for an unprecedented three-peat on March 29 as part of a live season-opening doubleheader on Fox Soccer Channel, the network announced today.

Fox Soccer Channel’s first-ever MLS doubleheader – a five-hour live programming block – will kick off with a 30-minute pregame show at 7:00 p.m. ET, followed by the much anticipated rematch of the 2007 MLS Cup final between the Houston Dynamo and New England Revolution at 7:30 p.m. Last November, Houston defeated New England in the MLS championship match for the second straight season.

At 9:30 p.m., the second half of the doubleheader will feature David Beckham’s Los Angeles Galaxy on the road against the Colorado Rapids. Both teams will look to regroup in 2008 after missing the postseason a year ago.

MLS Saturday on FSC will conclude with a half-hour postgame show following the Colorado-Los Angeles showdown.

“We are very pleased to bring MLS fans this enticing doubleheader to kick off our 2008 MLS Saturday on FSC schedule,” said David Sternberg, executive vice president and general manager of Fox Soccer Channel. “Our MLS Saturday on FSC on-air team will be returning to bring our viewers the expert commentary, interviews and analysis that they have come to expect from our broadcasts.”

In 2007, MLS Saturday on FSC broke new ground with the first-ever live, on-site, three-hour block of Major League Soccer programming. This year’s schedule – to be announced in full at a later date – will include approximately 31 regular-season telecasts plus three playoff games.
