The Brazilian club Palmeiras signed a partnership with Visa and the technology company Outplan to turn the central bleachers of its stadium, Palestra Itália, into a VIP space, with numbered chairs and an exclusive lounge. According to the site Máquina do Esporte, the new space will have plasma screens, vending machines, luncheonettes, stores, new bathrooms and living spaces. The other great news from the club, which is one of the teams in the Brazilian Championship, distributed by Globo TV Sports, is the Internet ticket purchasing with Visa. Through this new form of commercialization, called Futebolcard by Visa, fans do not need to wait for their tickets to be delivered, as the card serves as an entrance pass to the stadium. Purchasers can select their seats when completing the transaction.
