Uruguay 5 - Bolivia 0 (World Cup 2010 qualifier, October 13, 2007) Uruguay’s three strikers Luis Suarez, Diego Forlan and Sebastian Abreu all scored before substitute strikers Vicente Sanchez and Carlos Bueno completed the rout.

Ecuador 0 - Venezuela 1 (World Cup 2010 qualifier, October 13, 2007) Jose Manuel Rey scored from an astonishing free-kick near the halfway line, ending a six-year unbeaten home record for Ecuador, whose last defeat in their own country was against Argentina in August 2001.
