Mexico 2 - Cuba 1 (CONCAF Gold Cup, June 8, 2007) Jared Borgetti and Nery Castillo won the game for Mexico, but the shock had been on the cards when Alcantara had time to control the ball with his left foot and curl a right foot shot past Ochoa to give Cuba the lead.

Panama 3 - Honduras 2 (CONCAF Gold Cup, June 8, 2007) Honduras played the majority of the game with only ten men after Palacios was shown a straight red for a dangerous tackle. Panama capitalised through goals from Rivera and Perez in the first-half, despite Guevara’s great free-kick having momentarily levelled the score. Panama finally killed off the game in the 81st minute, when Garces scored the goal of the game, but Carlos Costly’s downward header kept things interesting until the final whistle.

Internacional 4 - Pachuca 0 (Recopa Sudamericana, June 8, 2007) (Agg 5-1) (Extended highlights here.) In the second leg of the match-up between the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana champions, the Brazilians overcame a first leg defeat and poor domestic form to romp home to victory. (But why where there two balls on the pitch during the forth goal???)

In these videos commissioned by Reebok, Iker Casillas, Andriy Shevchenko and Thierry Henry discuss who are their heroes.

This video shows Thierry Henry on Chinese TV playing the computer game Winning Eleven (or otherwise known as Pro Evolution Soccer).
