TLN BROADCASTS 2007 FIFA Men’s U-20 World Cup
TLN TELEVISION PARTNERS WITH CBC/RADIO-CANADA ON WINNING BID TO BROADCAST ALL MAJOR FIFA INTERNATIONAL SOCCER TOURNAMENTS THROUGH 2014
As a result of the recent announcement by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) that CBC/Radio-Canada made the winning Canadian bid for a comprehensive soccer programming package from 2007 through 2014, including the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ and the 2014 FIFA World Cup, TLN Television (Telelatino), under a broadcast partnership agreement with CBC, has secured rights in multiple languages to all of the 32 tournaments forming part of this FIFA rights package.

Canada’s 2 million strong Latino population and lovers of the passionate approach to soccer that TLN showcases will now enjoy wall to wall coverage in multiple languages of all FIFA championship events for the next 7 years”.
The broadcast package also includes the upcoming 2007 FIFA Men’s U-20 World Cup, which takes place in Victoria, Burnaby, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto and the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup in China.
This announcement is in addition to the more than 150 soccer matches TLN will regularly broadcast throughout its 2006-07 season with weekly Italian Serie A Championship and season long European UEFA Champions League coverage.
Also coming to TLN in June 2007 is the entire 26 match Copa America 2007, Latin America’s top nations tournament.
