FOX SPORTS WORLD CANADA HIGHLIGHTS – JAN 27 – FEB 2, 2007

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

7:30 - 9:30 ET– FA Cup 4th Round: Luton Town v Blackburn ***LIVE***

Luton Town found themselves gifted into the fourth round after Queen’s Park Rangers defender Zesh Rehman’s own goal late in the game gave the Hatters the lead in their 3rd Round replay. The struggling Championship side now plays host to Premiership side Blackburn, who destroyed their 3rd Round opponents, Everton, 1-4 at Goodison Park . Fox Sports World Canada is proud to kick off another weekend of FA Cup action as the Rovers travel to Kenilworth Road to take on Luton Town .

12:00 - 14:30 ET– FA Cup 4th Round: Manchester United v Portsmouth ***LIVE***

Manchester United prepare to continue their march to a record 12th FA Cup as host Portsmouth at Old Trafford. It won’t be an easy match however. Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has knocked the Red Devils from the Cup on two previous occasions. Once as the Manager of West Ham, back in 2001, and once in 1984, at the head of Bournemouth , which was the last time United were defeated by a lower division team in the cup.

15:00 - 17:00 ET– Italian Serie A: Torino v Udinese

Torino have not made much of an impact in Italy ’s top flight this season, but will be looking to reverse their fortunes as they host Udinese. Winless in four, and hoping to avoid a third consecutive defeat, Torino will be looking to find their form in an effort to climb the table. Udinese, on the other hand, are in seventh, but sit just 2 points back of a Champions League qualification spot. Udinese travel to the Stadio Olimpico to challenge Torino .

20:00 - 22:00 ET– Argentine Torneo de Verano: Independiente v San Lorenzo ***LIVE***

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

09:00 - 11:00 ET– FA Cup 4th Round: Chelsea v Nottingham Forest ***LIVE***

League One side Nottingham Forest travel to Stamford Bridge to challenge an injury ravaged Chelsea . Forest have not defeated the London side since 1997 and have not triumphed at the Bridge since 1995. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has yet to win the FA Cup, the only major English trophy he has failed to hoist. Will Chelsea put the League One side in their place, or can Forest upset the Premiership side?

11:00 - 13:00 ET– FA Cup 4th Round: Arsenal v Bolton ***LIVE***

For the 3rd Season in a row, Arsenal find themselves drawing Bolton in the FA Cup. At Highbury, Arsenal dumped Bolton from the quarter-finals back in 2005, while Bolton got their revenge at the Reebok the following year, knocking the Gunners from the Cup in the Fourth Round. Fortunately for Arsenal, they’ll have home-field advantage as they play their first FA Cup tie at the new Emirate Stadium. Can Arsenal overcome the Bolton’s physical play in their quest to lift the FA Cup for a fourth time in six years or will Bolton advance on route to their first Cup in 49 years?

15:00 - 17:00 ET– Italian Serie A: Cagliari v Reggina

Had it not been for the 11 point deduction at the start of the season, Reggina would not be sitting in the relegation zone. In fact, without the points penalty, the Amaranto would be challenging for a UEFA Cup spot. Even Champions League qualification could have been a possibility. Unfortunately, the deduction remains and Reggina face a battle to escape the drop as they head to Stadio Sant’Elia to face Cagliari.

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

14:30 - 17:00 ET– Barclay’s English Premier League: Portsmouth v Middlesbrough ***LIVE***

Portsmouth and Middlesbrough face off just days after each side played their Fourth Round FA Cup ties, Portsmouth taking on Manchester United while Middlesbrough challenged Bristol City . Middlesbrough have found their form in the new year and are looking to improve on their 5 match unbeaten streak. Boro travel to Fratton Park to take on Portsmouth .

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

14:30 - 17:00 ET– Barclay’s English Premier League: Chelsea v Blackburn ***LIVE***

After a disappointing loss to Liverpool last weekend, Chelsea will be looking for a win over Blackburn in an effort to narrow the 6 point gap between the London club and league leading Manchester United. The Rovers are also trying to return to winning ways after falling 2-1 to last place Watford . Blackburn travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea .

17:00 - 19:00 ET– Barclay’s English Premier League: Bolton v Charlton ***DELAY***
Bolton hope to regain their confidence after a 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Middlesbrough . The Wanderers now trail 4th place Arsenal and the last Champions League qualification spot by 5 points. They host Charlton, who are struggling to escape the relegation zone. After last week’s win over Portsmouth , Charlton are just 3 points plus goal difference back away from safety. A win for Charlton would be a serious boost for Alan Pardew’s beleaguered side.

12:00 - 14:00 ET– Argentine Torneo de Verano: Racing Club v San Lorenzo ***LIVE***

Thursday, February 1st, 2007

12:00 - 14:00 ET– Argentine Torneo de Verano: Boca Juniors v River Plate ***LIVE***
