BRITISH COLUMBIA SOCCER ASSOCIATION & GOLTV
TEAM UP IN UNPRECEDENTED MARKETING PARTNERSHIP
VANCOUVER – The British Columbia Soccer Association (BCSA) and GOLTV announced today a comprehensive, multi-tiered marketing and broadcast partnership that links one of the nation’s top soccer associations with Canada’s only 24/7 all-soccer television network.
The three-year partnership is valued in excess of $500,000 in in-kind and cash sponsorship. Under the deal, GOLTV becomes the exclusive broadcast rights holder to sponsorship of the BCSA (including tournaments) with the ability to activate subscriber and marketing programs to the association’s more than 120,000 active members.
The deal also means additional exposure for BCSA and their sponsors, through the creation of exclusive content by GOLTV to be aired on multiple platforms including the linear channel and the network’s website, www.GOLTV.ca. Additional content may be distributed on other platforms, similar to the network’s previous creation and distribution of mobile-specific content. The arrangement also includes the production of a unique instructional, educational and entertaining DVD that will eventually be distributed to all BCSA members upon sign-up.
“GOLTV is ecstatic to join forces with BC Soccer in a rich marketing partnership that not only helps the growth of the game, but embraces the many platforms available to marketers in this day and age,” says Christopher Doyle, VP Marketing, GOLTV.
“Being able to align ourselves with a blue chip media partner such as GOLTV will enable us to bring a never-before-seen level of positive exposure to the beautiful game of soccer across all of British Columbia, and will help us to showcase the passion and dedication our membership brings to BC soccer,” adds Bjorn Osieck, Executive Director, BCSA.
