Globo TV Sports celebrates good news at SoccerEx 2006
Globo TV Sports has extended its deal with Al Dowaly Center CO of Kuwait to broadcast Brazilian Magic Football in 2008. The Middle Eastern distributor had already taken the package for 2007 but, betting on the success of Brazilian football, acquired the rights for an additional year. The agreement was signed at SoccerEx in Dubai.
Brazilian Magic Football is a package of 82 live matches in the São Paulo and Brazilian championships and is already airing in more than 125 countries. In addition to the matches, Al Dowaly Center CO also agreed to purchase FootBrazil, a weekly 26-minute program broadcast in English via satellite. FootBrazil provides special behind-the-scenes features on the championships and training, plus profiles and exclusive interviews with players and coaches.
The agreement provides for the airing of matches throughout much of the Middle East, including Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia, among other countries.
