Coverage Begins with Western Conference Match up between Colorado Rapids

and FC Dallas on Saturday, October 21 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT
Los Angeles, CA – Wednesday, October 18, 2006 – Fox Soccer Channel today announced its national broadcast schedule for the 2006 Major League Soccer Playoffs. Live coverage begins Saturday, October 21, at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT, with Game One of the Western Conference semifinals between the Colorado Rapids and FC Dallas. Colorado enters the post-season having barely edged out the Los Angeles Galaxy and Real Salt Lake for the fourth and final playoff spot in the West, while top-seeded FC Dallas finished the season with the most wins (16) in the league.

Playoff action on FSC continues on Saturday, October 28, at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT, when the New England Revolution meets the Chicago Fire in Game Two of the Eastern Conference semifinals. New England is led by 2006 Honda U.S. Player of the Year Clint Dempsey and goalkeeper Matt Reis, who this year played every minute (2,880) in every match (32) for the Revs while leading the league in saves (141) and shutouts (10). Game Two of the Western Conference semifinals on Sunday, October 29, at 4:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT, features Houston Dynamo vs. Chivas USA , both of which are making their first playoff appearances in team history.

Fox Soccer Channel will also carry live coverage of one of the two MLS Conference Championship games; additional coverage schedule will be announced at a later date.
