After falling 2-1 to AC Milan last week, Lazio look begin the difficult task of cutting away at the 11 point penalty they started the season with, thanks to the Calciopoli indictments. Palermo , coming off a 4-3 win over Reggina, look to continue their climb up the standings. Palermo travel to the Stadio Olimpico to take on Lazio.
11:00 - 13:00 ET– English Premier League: Manchester United v Arsenal ***LIVE***
Manchester United are seeing their best ever start to a Premiership campaign and look to cement their spot atop the table. The Red Devils, however, suffered a couple of key injuries in their Champions League victory over Celtic. Park Ji-sung is out for three months and Ryan Giggs may be out for as long as three weeks. Arsenal, too, have their share of injury woes. The Gunners are still missing several key members of their back line and may now be missing Kolo Toure as well. The center back limped off the pitch in Arsenal’s 2-1 Champions League victory over SV Hamburg. Arsenal travel to Old Trafford hoping to find their form after a shaky start to the season.
13:00 - 15:00 ET– Italian Serie A: Catania v Atalanta
In a battle of the newly promoted sides, Catania play Atalanta in the first Serie A match at Stadio Massimino in two decades. Catania won the corresponding Serie B fixture last season 4-1 and will look for a repeat performance in the top league. Atalanta however, are coming off a comfortable 3-1 victory over Ascoli thanks to a Nicola Ventola brace.
15:00 - 17:00 ET– Argentine Primera Division: Independiente v San Lorenzo ***LIVE***
Fourth-place San Lorenzo travels to the Estadio Libertadores to take on second-place Independiente. The standings are close though, as San Lorenzo trails Independiente only on goal difference. Independiente are coming off a 2-4 win over Lanus, with Daniel Gaston Montenegro scoring a brace. San Lorenzo hope to earn a third consecutive win after notching victories over Rosario Central and Banfield.
20:30 - 22:30 ET– MLS Soccer: Houston Dynamo v Chivas USA ***LIVE***
Chivas earned an all-important three points with 1-nil win over conference leading FC Dallas Wednesday. The win leaves Chivas just 1 point behind 2nd-place Houston . Houston also heads into this match coming off a win. Scarborough native Dwayne De Rosario scored early in the 2nd half to complete a come-from-behind victory. Chivas travel to Robertson Stadium to take on the Houston Dynamo.

Newcastle travel to Upton Park, looking for their first away win of the season. In fact, the Magpies have not netted an away goal in League play since April, when Newcastle defeated Sunderland . West Ham, on the other hand, is looking to earn their 100th home victory of the Premiership era. West Ham hosts fellow UEFA Cup challengers Newcastle at Upton Park.
