Launch Major “Meet Pelé” Consumer Promotion
TORONTO – Pelé, soccer’s greatest player and an icon for the sport around the world, is coming to Canada – and Rogers Personal TV customers will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet him, thanks to all-soccer network GOLTV Canada and Rogers Personal TV.
GOLTV Canada and Rogers Personal TV announced today that the “Living Legend” of soccer will visit Toronto on October 11th, 2006, for an exclusive and intimate gathering that celebrates the launch of GOLTV, the nation’s only network dedicated to the sport of soccer 24/7, on Rogers Personal TV.
The event is the culmination of a “subscribe and win” promotion called Meet Pelé, which begins today and is available for existing or new Rogers Personal TV customers that subscribe to GOLTV Canada or to Rogers Personal TV’s Sports Theme Pack.
Rogers Personal TV customers that subscribe to GOLTV, starting today, can enter online at www.goltv.ca/pele for their chance to win. The grand prize for five lucky winners is the unbelievable opportunity to “meet and greet” Pelé at an exclusive gathering in his honour.
