A total of three matches from Round 5 of Uruguay’s “Liguilla Pre Libertadores” including a pair of LIVE games highlighted by Danubio vs. Nacional on Saturday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m. ET and Rampla Juniors vs. Peñarol on Sunday, July 20 at 2:00 p.m. ET.

A pair of LIVE Ecuadorian league matches from the second group stage of the Campeonato Ecuatoriano de Fútbol including Dep. Quito vs. Azogues on Saturday, July 19 at 5:00 p.m. ET and Barcelona vs. El Nacional on Sunday, July 20 at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Premiere sublicenses World Cup rights to RTL

Uefa seals Spanish Champions League TV deals

BT to offer Setanta Sports for free

UK telecoms company BT will boost the growth of its TV service this week by offering its top-spending customers Setanta’s main sports channel for free, according to UK media reports.

RSL Stadium to host ‘09 MLS All-Star Game

NEW YORK and SANDY, UTAH — Major League Soccer announced today that Real Salt Lake Stadium, the League’s newest soccer-specific venue, will host the 2009 MLS All-Star Game next summer.  MLS President Mark Abbott joined Real Salt Lake Owner David W. Checketts, Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr., and Sandy Mayor Tom Dolan at a press conference at the new Stadium to officially announce the event

The new 20,000-seat stadium in Sandy, Utah, which is expected to open in October, will host the 14th annual MLS mid-summer showcase. The 2009 MLS All-Star Game will be the sixth time the MLS All-Stars will take on a high-profile international club, continuing the tradition of “MLS Takes on the World.” The date and opponent for the 2009 All-Star Game will be announced by early next year.

World Cup 2010 Tickets on sale Feb 09

Tickets for the World Cup to be held in South Africa in 2010 will go on sale on 2 February 2009The announcement was made by David Will, chairman of the FIFA sub committee in charge of ticketing for WC 2010.

In an effort to beat the black market sales, more tickets will be on sale for the genuine soccer fan. Added to this FIFA will allow only four tickets per customer per seven matches.

The allocation for supporters of teams participating in World Cup games has been increased from eight to 12 percent.

The price of tickets has not yet been decided but the cheapest tickets are likely to be affordable to the South African public.
